We have another exciting webinar lined up on Friday 11th December at 11am-12pm (GMT) with Douglas McCarthy from Europeana and Dr Andrea Wallace from the University of Exeter talking about their work on the OpenGLAM Survey. They were scheduled to be the keynotes at Icepops 2020 (read their full biographies on the Icepops page) and we have them both lined up to speak at our conference, if the world is back to real conferences in 2021.
Doug and Andrea are a lot of fun, we interviewed them last year as part of our podcast series Copyright Waffle, and so we know it’s going to be a great session. They will share the work they have been doing to open up access to cultural heritage collections around the world through the survey. Doug also writes on Medium about his open GLAM work. Andrea recently featured on the BBC4 Programme on 21st Century mythologies with Richard Clay talking about ‘the myth of copyright’.
We do hope you can join us, in the usual Blackboard Collaborate room: https://eu.bbcollab.com/collab/ui/session/guest/b0ed6c888307480ba897751a57f93713
We have the regular updates on what we’ve been up to and the latest copyright news, so hope to see you then. If you haven’t joined a webinar before and would like to get a flavour of the sort of things we talk about then all the recording are on the website.
