Last week we were in Edinburgh for the Repo Fringe conference, which is now in it’s 10th year. The conference is aimed at Repository managers and so the theme is all about scholarly communications, open access and institutional repositories. The opening keynote was from Danny Kingsley at University of Cambridge’s Office of Scholarly Communication.
The event took place at the rather prestigious Royal Society of Edinburgh and we were delighted to give a keynote on the second morning. We also ran a session for delegates where they got a chance to play the Publishing Trap. It was a really great couple of days despite half the team, Chris, being a little hampered at the moment with a broken collarbone. But nothing stops the Copyright Literacy Team.
Our slides from the conference are on Slideshare and I’ve added a couple of photos from the event. It was great to meet lots of the staff at Edinburgh University, and a huge thanks to Dominic Tate, Theo Andrew, Charlie Farley and Eugen Stoica for inviting us.
