We have been invited to some pretty exciting places in the last few years, including Lisbon, Warsaw, Edinburgh, Oxford, Cambridge to name but a few! Last August I went to Uruguay to teach a course on copyright literacy and open practices. I thought things couldn’t get much more exciting, however, this summer we’re heading east taking a trek along ‘the Silk Road‘, about as far east as you can get before you reach China.
Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan and it’s hosting the EIFL General Assembly later this week. The theme of the conference is copyright, open access and digital literacy and we were thrilled to be invited to take part in the event which will be attended by representatives from libraries from around the world. The programme is online and our suitcases are almost packed. It’s going to be an exciting trip and we’ll provide a full report in a few weeks time. It’s great to share the Publishing Trap (and Copyright the Card Game) with an international audience. We have made a Flyer for delegates at the #EIFLGA. Watch this space for travel bulletins, hopefully we’ll survive the 40 degree heat.
