We have got some good news and have already managed to reschedule the conference for 22nd June 2021, with events starting on 21st June and running through to 23rd June as in previous years. The venue will remain the same and the Park Inn Hotel in Cardiff have carried over our booking to next year. We are also delighted to say our keynotes and our sponsors have agreed to carry over their support to next year as well, so you will have the opportunity to hear Dr Emily Hudson, Dr Andrea Wallace and Douglas McCarthy speak.
We were about to issue the conference programme and have offered this year’s speakers the opportunity of presenting next year. We will also issue a new call for proposals later in 2020. We will send out information to those delegates who have already booked their place, giving them the opportunity to get a refund or to carry over their booking until next year.
We are really disappointed not to be able to run Icepops this year, but in making this decision now we think we can concentrate on preparing for an excellent conference next year and we look forward to welcoming you to Cardiff in June 2021. We would like to thank all our sponsors, Learning on Screen, ERA, Talis and PMLL for their ongoing support. Also thank you to colleagues on the CILIP Information Literacy Group for their help and support. In the meantime, if you are missing your fix of copyright literacy with playful opportunities for practitioners and scholars then do tune in to our weekly webinars on Copyright, Fair Dealing and Online Learning hosted by the Association for Learning Technology. Our next webinar is scheduled for Friday 1st May from 2-3pm and we are delighted to be joined by a regular at the Icepops conference, Kyle K Courtney from Harvard University.
Thanks for the update Dr. Secker. I’m really looking forward to next your conf. Until then best wish to all our colleagues near and far.
